LPC - INTERN SUPERVISION

Congratulations on your accomplishments to get you through to this stage of the licensing process!

I am a Texas State Board approved LPC Supervisor and provide supervision to LPC interns working towards their internship hours for full licensure.

My approach is a combination of Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Supervision. Even though I may use techniques from other perspectives, these are the three perspectives that I utilize the most during sessions and supervision. These three perspectives support the various roles of a supervisor as a coach, teacher, active collaborator, sounding board, and validator/encourager.

Topics of Supervision will include but are not limited to:

·        Conceptualization and exploration of individual cases

·        Feedback on counseling techniques, application of          theories, ethics and diagnosis

·        Review of case notes and other documentation

·        Consultation for emergency or time sensitive situations or events

·        Professional development in either an agency or private practice

Development is one of the main goals of supervision. During supervision, we will focus on developing your clinical techniques but more importantly we will work together to develop and discover your authentic self as a counselor.

Meetings

The supervision will occur at my office in the Clear Lake Area. Face-to-face supervision will last one hour, and occur once a week in either an individual or group setting. Group supervision will make up no more than half of the required supervision hours and will consist of a maximum of six supervisees.

Fees

The fee for individual supervision is $60.00 per hour and group sessions (if available) are $40 per hour.

Licensing paperwork to send to the TX State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors

* You are responsible for securing an intern site/office. Depending on availability, I may be able to rent office space at my location.
